How long have you been in your industry?12 years
Why did you choose your industry? While getting my MBA, I developed a passion and curiosity for consumer behavior and customer psychology. I was fascinated by how minor changes in customer experience and product placement could lead to drastic changes in product sales and the total amount of money a customer would spend at a specific store.
Who are your typical clients?Local businesses such as independent restaurants, law firms, chiropractors, personal trainers, therapists, non-profit organizations, retail stores, apparel brands, and food/condiment brands.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Every business is unique. They offer unique products and/or services, target different audiences, and offer solutions to unmet needs. I enjoy learning about each specific business and learn how to best create awareness to their specific audience that has a specific problem or unmet and crafting a message that resonates with that specific audience about how the business solves their specific issue.
What are common problems you see?Placing your message in loations where your audience will not see it, crafting the message in a way that is clear and concise so the audience understands the value the business provides them, and understanding what resources customers use and what factors are most important when a customer is making a purchasing decision.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Know what resources and destinations customers use when making purchasing decisions.
When is your busy season?Late Summer through the end of the year
What keeps you up at night?Knowing I'm reaching my clients' target audience with the right message at the right place at the right time.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Primarily through word of mouth. If a client has seen successful results using my services, they tend to share that experience with other people in their network.
How involved are you in the community?I work with the public trust to help with fundraising and donations, do beach cleanups, and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity? The Public Trust Environmental Institution of Florida
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business? No business is the same. Do not assume you know how any target audience behaves. Do your research, observe, and execute based on your findings, not theoretical situations or assumptions.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Surfing and hang out at the beach.
