How has consumer behavior shifted in the digital age? We’re all so overstimulated! Yes, we value speed and information, but there’s also too much of a good thing and I feel we’re edging that now.
What strategies are you using to create more authentic brand connections? In person experiences, online social media engagement and real conversations. I sounds simple, but showing up authentically has somehow become uncomfortable, so I’m creating spaces where we can feel good about returning to our childlike and truest selves.
Can you share a recent campaign that exceeded expectations? With great demand, I’ve started coaching others how to host in person events. It’s like going back to a time before social media dominated our time, mental space and nervous systems. Not only do people want to attend events, they want to learn to host them as well and I’m more than happy to help them learn how. We need more human connection and always will it’s build into our biology.
How do you measure the effectiveness of your marketing initiatives?Social media has a ton of metrics for this, but when it comes down to it- by the number of people that are willing to leave the comfort of their homes and spend time hanging with their besties.
What trends are shaping the future of advertising?Community led marketing and experiential campaigns in addition to authenticity in story telling. These are outperforming perfectly curated feeds, multi million dollar budget ads and commercials- the influencer for influencer sake era is slowly dying.
How are you integrating AI or automation into your campaigns?Automation is a time saver. Set it and forget it is truly life changing and time saving. I’m doing most of the heavy lifting myself so I HAVE to have systems in place to stay sane and on top.
What advice would you give to aspiring marketers today?People will connect better with your authentic self than the artificial social media blend into the background because you’re just like everyone else aesthetic. You like collecting rocks? Cool! You have a passion for extreme ironing or competitive lip syncing? You’re not alone! But the more you try to blend in- the harder it is to find your tribe.
